Rural People,
2012-2017
The project is a public welfare project initiated by photographer Jiao Dongzi in 2012 to
take portraits of rural people in western China. A total of more than 20 photographers have
volunteered to participate in the project, taking tens of thousands of photos for villagers
in hundreds of villages in Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Sichuan, Ningxia and other
provinces and sending them to the subjects. The project was reported by many media and won
the first public welfare and charity award, and held many exhibitions.
